Cindy’s Seasonal Note:
This wreath planter works year-round. Use fresh blooms for summer garden season, swap in vibrant fall foliage during autumn, add evergreens and pine cones for a cozy winter look, and brighten up spring with pastel flowers or budding branches.

Step 1: Connect Each Wreath
Start by connecting each good wreath for this easy DIY project. I prefer using outdoor zip ties or green floral wire to secure everything. Find an opening on the first simple brown wreath and slip the zip tie end through a branch. That’s why grapevine wreaths are so easy to work with. Their sturdy branches make securing simple.
Pull the zip tie tight, then trim the excess with scissors or wire cutters. When connecting the wreaths, place zip ties or floral wire at 12, 3, 6, 9, 10, and 4 o’clock positions. This is a great way to keep your wreath planter even and avoid gaps.

Step 2: Lovely Wreath Planter Ready for Live Plants
Now, it’s time to prepare your lovely wreath planter for live plants. I placed my coconut planter in the center and pressed it down, spreading it out to fill the space inside the wreath.
Next, add potting soil, then plant marigolds and Calibrachoa for a beautiful pop of color. If you don’t have a green thumb or want to avoid watering, a short faux vine or faux flowers work wonderfully too. This step is all about creating a planter that brings you joy!
Cindy’s Note: Terra cotta pots also work great for the center. Just be careful not to leave them outside during freezing weather, as they can crack.

Easy Ideas for a Cozy Home and Seasonal Decor
One of my favorite ways to bring an easy project to life is by using nature to create a cozy home during this time of year. Little touches from the outdoors can transform any space, making it warm and inviting.
Summer
- Place a simple brown wreath around a soup tureen to create the base for an easy topiary project, a great way to celebrate the end of summer. See my topiary- so easy and age a flower pot too! (HERE)
Fall
- These good wreaths add instant cozy vibes to your living space for the holidays. Use terra cotta pots or a soup tureen (HERE) at each table setting. Nestle a grapevine wreath or simple brown wreath around the base and add a small faux or real pumpkin for farmhouse decor on your fall table. Finish with pine cones, warm-colored fall foliage, and battery-operated votive candles for a warm and inviting dining table. I found wreaths for you (HERE)
Winter
- Keep the natural look going with moist floral foam inside a terracotta pot or soup tureen. Add fresh evergreen branches, small pine cones, dried orange slices, and red berries. This is an easy way to add natural elements and bring cozy vibes to your holiday dining table. Learn how to dry oranges (HERE).
Spring
- Spring: Brighten your front porch or dining table by filling a soup tureen or terra cotta pots with tulips, daffodils, or budding branches nestled in a rustic wreath, a great way to celebrate spring’s arrival.
No matter the season, this lovely wreath planter is an easy project and the perfect addition to your cozy home and farmhouse decor.
