Are you getting ready for spring, I’m sharing how to create an easy elegant spring Easter table?
My name is Cindy and I blog over at Cloches &Lavender where I enjoy sharing easy craft ideas as well home decorating.
I have lived in NJ my entire life and I am married to my bestfriend. We have two mini-Dachshund, that we treasure. They are brother and sister and are inseparable.
Today I am hosting a Spring Easter tablescape hop with some of my blogging friends. If you are visiting from seeing Kim from From Farmhouse To Florida welcome. Kim sure did share a pretty yellow table!
Spring and Easter tables can be as formal and casual as we like depending on our style. For the most part, I’m not a person that adds cute to my home decorating.
Beginning to Set a Table for Guests and Family
Setting the Table Pretty for Guests
Namely when I start styling a table the centerpiece is where I begin. For this particular centerpiece and for me this is a no brainer. I am choosing dry Hydrangeas.
So, this spring I am using a black cast-iron French Jardinière.
Drying Limelight Hydrangeas
Adding Dry Hydrangeas for a Centerpiece
Hydrangeas turn a papery texture at the end of the season. In this case patience is a key factor. Generally, I wait for the petals to begin changing color. Waiting for pink to appear takes time and waiting is worth every second.
Next cut the stems at least 8″ and tie them together with jute and hang them upside down in a dark dry space. Usually, I use our basement because luckily it stays dry.
Now I fill the Jardinière and the fuller the more beautiful these flowers are truly gorgeous.
Setting the Table and Using Favorite Dishes
Using Pretty and Your Favorite Dishes
For me, I am fond of our china especially the colors when pairing them with dried flowers especially hydrangeas. The colors work perfectly together for my simple spring table.
Before adding the dishes, I add chargers. The possibilities are endless, metal color chargers work well. Wood chargers in natural or whitewash are great the warmer months.
Furthermore, basketweave, rattan, wicker and seagrass are also great choices for a special spring or Easter table.
Using Candles for Warmth and Ambiance
Candles Add Amboance to the Setting
I enjoy using candles on our Easter table and actually all year round. If flames, make you nervous especially with little one’s flameless taper candles truly look realistic.
Unfortunately, the only downfall to battery operated candles is most will not fit antique candelabras. This sadly is the case for me, fortunately I have no worries.
Glassware Truly Finishes a Special Table
Adding Pretty Glasses as Finishing Touch
For the most part, I tend to stick to clear glasses during the warmer months. This may be actually because I love our glasses. It also is because I’m not looking to spend the money either.
Seasonally, light blue, pink, green even lilac are pretty choices.
Lastly, Adding Some Special Touches for Guests and Family
Special Touches for the Family and Guests
Lastly, I did take time to make special pieces for my family. The best part about the crafts, they are simple, fast and easy.
One is easy napkin rings and the other quick craft idea is that is great to fill with treats. By the way, the best part is these work for the entire warmer months!
I hope you enjoyed reading how to create an easy elegant spring Easter table. Are you getting ideas together for your spring table?
