Dried Oranges in Seasonal Decor

Today I’m sharing how to use dried oranges in seasonal decor.

Dried oranges in seasonal decor are a perfect way to add natural elements for fall and the upcoming holiday season.  It reminds me of slower times and nature and coupling dried citrus with spices such as clove, cinnamon sticks, greens, star anise, and pinecones adds instant warmth for the cooler weather.

I share an easy way to make dry oranges and add spices such as clove, nutmeg, and cinnamon for even more scent!

Dried Oranges Fall with Hydrangeas

See how I have used dried orange slices during the fall months. They are beautiful with acorns and dried hydrangeas and can be found at the grocery store.

The pairing of the dried orange slices with the hydrangeas also may be unexpected.

Adding dried orange slices to evergreens in this centerpiece adds the perfect color for the holiday season. Also, the pinecones, walnuts in the shell, and small birch logs add texture.

Also, the elegance of the Jardinière and its age is a great way to add these natural elements.

I particularly liked adding whole dried oranges last year to the garland on our mantel. I like it so much I may think about doing it again with a different twist.

Dried citrus is a great way to display them with different fresh greens.
