Cindy’s Corner

Welcome to Cindy’s Corner this week! I want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers for Peanut.

Our vet says he’s not concerned with the elevation of her enzymes. He is waiting to speak to Peanut’s internist. She’s very busy so it may take until the middle of this week. A new supplement will happen to help. When our vet says he’s not worried I stop worrying a little.

He’s not just our vet he has become a personal friend.

Watching the Superbowl and Other Sport Information

Now don’t roll your eyes at the sports section this week. It’s cute.

Did you watch the Superbowl? We didn’t this year. We haven’t been watching football this year. Honestly, we watch the NY Jets, and they are pitiful.

Coming off a heartbreaking end to the NY Mets baseball season I didn’t have it in me to watch another losing team. Heartbreaking may sound a bit dramatic however baseball takes dedication to watch. This team has the talent. Unfortunately, by June every player seems hurt. Stop lifting weights guys!

This is me thinking they may read this, dreaming here.

What I am Working on Now

I’m working on our table base and have gilding wax to add and then glaze. I have to tell you Dixie Belle’s paint has converted me for good. I have many other chalk paints so not to waste these I will use them for crafting, etc.

First of all, the color I am working with is beautiful. I have been painting furniture for many years and this paint truly is amazing!

Second, their product White lightening is great. Washing the old wax off the table base was a breeze and such a difference.

Third, their product Boss is also amazing. It’s amazes me how I added two coats to a dark brown painted furniture piece and in the end used such little paint for my project!

Truly, I am sold and have a few projects that need to get done and this will be my go-to brand!

White Chocolate Macadamia Nuts

You may remember last week I did share how I made this. Can I tell you this is truly amazing? It’s as if it’s a homemade chocolate bar. It breaks apart into beautiful clusters. Also, it gives you a large amount to enjoy over time!

A version I have been planning in my mind will be on our Easter table.

A Quick Spring Project

Are you getting the spring itch? Check this project I just shared, it takes 5 minutes to make and truly looks so realistic!

What I am Loving This Week from My Favorite Shops

How pretty will these spools look in a basket?

Textile Spool Bobbin

I’m loving this pillow. The texture of the ruffles and graphic is beautiful.

I’m you love old textiles as much as I do these are so pretty. I’m on the lookout for ones that will work in our home. Searching takes time and this is what I love about having a collected home.

Textiles

I can see these pretty bottles just in time for spring. Can’t you see these filled with flowers, so pretty!

Here’s a crown I am loving! No, it’s not coming home to live. I am waiting to find a very large crown for the center of our coffee table. Also, to be able to use on our Bombay chest. If anyone knows of one, I’d appreciate the tip!

One Project Just Made for the Road!

Herer’s on more craft I recently made. And guess what NO GLUE NEEDED! Oh, did I mention it’s very fast too?

I hope you take the time to look at these items because they are beautiful. Also please look at the crafts I shared because they are amazing and perfect for spring and summer. Actually, all year.

  1. Glad your vet is not too worried about Peanut’s liver enzymes. As long as she is being herself and eating and acting like normal I would not worry about those results just yet. All your projects are looking great. Have a great Wednesday. xoxo Kris

  2. So glad that your vet isn’t too worried about Peanut. I love old textiles too. Have a good week.

  3. So glad to hear Peanut is getting such great care! All the links you shared are beautiful. I love the linens and the antiqued crowns too. They get me every time! Hugs, CoCo
