Our Favorite Time Of The Year

Our favorite time of the year in our home is here for many reasons.

First off, it’s time for gatherings and I love everything that comes with these seasons.

Sweaters and boots are my favorite things. I could wear boots every day of the week quite honestly.

I love being able to bake and cook the comfort foods I know our family enjoys.

These pumpkin biscotti are delicious and easy!

Another reason we enjoy this is one of our favorite times of the year, we know the end is near for chaos in our home.

What chaos?

Well for starters the landscaping season is almost over.

Shh, Mommy left the room. I’m taking over and I hope she doesn’t notice.

Hi it’s me Reesses, I’m taking it from here.

So today is Halloween and we don’t like it one bit. People come and interrupt our Cheerio’s time.

One year do you believe they tried to dress us in pumpkin sweaters? When they put them on we gave them the look of Really?

Poor Peanut’s legs kept falling out of the sweater. Thank goodness they wised up.

Yesterday some people were here and mommy said it was raining leaves from the gutters. What are gutters? The blower thing was making noise and I don’t like it one bit. And who are these guys coming on my turf?

One of my favorite spots to sit is right here. I keep an eye on things and wait for the garbage men and that big brown truck.

My favorite part is watching all the people walk by my house. They have big furry things with them. I wonder if they are the same as me and my sister Peanut.

The one thing I don’t understand is why they are so big. It’s fun being short I get to smell everything mommy adds to the house.

Soon more boxes will come upstairs and I have to check them out, they jingle, it might be a sneak attack.

I don’t know why daddy started working from home but we LOVE IT! Daddy holds me and voices come out and they say how adorable and handsome.

Mommy and daddy say that we are too smart for our own good. Oh yeah, I have a twin sister Peanut.

Here she is sitting next to me. Something smells good in here, maybe we will get some.

Can you believe that her legs are shorter than mine? They said they are only 4″ long, whatever, that means.

Soon Grandpa will come to visit and Peanut screams and gets so excited.

They say she can’t see anymore but she knows when daddy is in the room. And she always knows where I am.

When people come to the house Peanut flips over and talks because she wants belly rubs.

I don’t know what they mean when they say they think we have zippers. What’s a zipper? Then they say we are little people.

When they brought us to this house they said they built us a huge puppy area and it connects to the deck so we can go up and down.

We love it out there. Peanut loves to sunbathe.

Me, I love to roll and roll. In the fall it’s fun these things get all over me.

We love to go outside and walk on these crunchy things they call leaves. We love the noise of these. They make noise under our feet.

And at times we lay on top of them.

There isn’t a day that goes when they say we don’t make them laugh out loud. We are sure glad!

I have to go now, I think I hear the refrigerator opening and that means we eat!

  1. Oh my gosh CIndy how adorable these two are. They remind me so much of our Buddy. The rolling and sunning themselves and being outside. Buddy loves to bark and go crazy with the UPS or Amazon truck rolls up too. Your post made me smile today. Have a good start to the new week. xoxo Kris
