Hello sweet friends, I hope all is well and you’re keeping busy. I have been a painting machine lately. Reeses and Peanut are worried they may get painted next, these sweet faces!!
Today, I’m sharing a small change I made to a lavender plant I purchased from Antique Farmhouse and I’m loving the quick change.
I decided I wanted the basket to have a French look, so I dry brushed it using Jolie paint in Swedish Grey, it took minutes.
Finding new pieces while thrifting before the virus took hold, I moved a few pieces around as I wait for warmer temperatures to paint outside, it’s still rather chilly in NJ as well as rainy.
I have had a set of antique shutters I purchased from Rustic Garden when we moved to our home, love adding old pieces to a brand new home to add character.
My shutter found a new home next to our buffet in our great room. The buffet will be receiving an overdo painting update I have been wanting for a while. This will lead to the domino affect, change the color of one piece and others need updating, ha, ha..
Originally the lavender was purchased for a different place in the house but that is for another post coming soon so stay tuned. I think you will enjoy my DIY!
Adding a gilded crown with gingham ribbon adds a touch of interest.
Have you been rearranging to get a new look?
Looks so pretty. Amazing what a little paint can do to change a look. Very pretty Cindy. Love seeing peanut and reeses. Such sweeties.
Hugs,
Kris

Okay, this time my comment should work for you, Cindy! WP drives me crazy when it doesn’t recognize my iPhone and then I cannot come up with the password… Lol! <3 Just wanted to say I love your "new" basket with its pretty grey color!! Isn't it amazing how fast paint dries on baskets??! The lavender wands look pretty in both of your containers, too. I have some faux lavender that I need to pull out again for summer.
Enjoy your pretty vignette and yes, I totally understand the painting one thing begats more painting and changes… 😉
Hugs,
Barb 🙂
I always say paint is magical because it can change the look of something in minutes! Love the new look of your basket, Cindy and your display with the shutter is lovely. Oh, and those sweet pups of yours! My goodness, so ADORABLE! Have a blessed weekend!
