French Cottage Christmas Basket

Christmas Door Decor Blog Hop 19

Welcome to Cloches and Lavender, Christmas is right around the corner.  Today, I’m taking part in a Christmas wreath door hop set up by Amber from Follow the Yellow Brick Home.  If you’re coming here after visiting Jann at Have a Daily Cup, welcome.  I love Jann’s style with warmth and always many vintage pieces.

I am so honored and excited to be a part of this hop and to share our door dressed for Christmas.

Our home is French/French Country Cottage style, I wanted to keep it rustic.  I purchased this basket last year from Ballard.  I have been wanting this piece f or quite some time, so when it was on sale last year I grabbed it for a great price and free shipping.  Who doesn’t love that?

I love this for its classic look and it allows me to have the option of not having your ordinary wreath all the time.   Filling the basket with assorted greens from the garden center adds a natural feel that I love for Christmas.

The addition of birch branches, a deer antler and a few pinecones add character and charm to the simplicity of the greens.  I carried this throughout our front porch this  year and I’m loving it.

Be sure to come back for a visit when I show our front porch at Cloches and Lavender.  I hope this will give you some inspiration to get your front door ready for Christmas and to welcome friends and family.

Please make sure you hop over to visit  Welch House to see her pretty and simply door idea.

  1. Your Ballard basket looks lovely on your door filled with greens, pine cones, branches, and antlers. This looks wonderful for Christmas and you can leave it up for winter as well.

  2. Cindy this basket is wowsie and I love the greens and antlers and bells you put inside. It looks so pretty against your black front door. I might have to check out Ballards for a basket like this. I would like something like this that I could just change out the inside and not have to be fussing or storing a bunch of front door decor. Happy Tuesday. Have a great week.

  9. Your basket door decor is the perfect mix of rustic, classic and elegant. I love how you used the branches and antlers to one side instead of the center which is what I always do. I never would have thought to do that and yours looks so pretty. That basket is wonderful!
