Daffodil Arrangements
Hello all, the clocks changed and warmer days are ahead so today I’m sharing Daffodil arrangements. Daffodils are my favorite spring bulbs. My grandmother especially enjoyed these and I believe this is where I got my love for them.
As an example, I can remember saying to my grandmother, I love these, they remind me of telephones. I was roughly six years old at the time.
We also planted 175 bulbs this past fall in front of our shed. I am so excited for them to bloom and will share them when they bloom.
This can be made using your favorite spring flowers. For instance, this will work with tulips, hyacinths or a combination of all three.
Items Needed:
- Daffodils/Narcissus or your favorite spring flowers HERE
- Styrofoam HERE
- vessel to hold your flower arrangement HERE
- Spanish moss HERE
- Reindeer moss HERE
Let’s Begin Making the Arrangement
After gathering my supplies, I begin adding Spanish moss to a platter. I add the Spanish moss before I fill my tureen so it adds additional texture and interest.
By the way, I am using a tureen I did find thrifting for $5 some time ago. As an example, a bowl, grapevine nest, even a grapevine wreath will work for this arrangement as well.

Firstly, I begin adding the Spanish moss making sure it is level. So then, I place my tureen and add a half dome of Styrofoam. In this case, I recommend using firm Styrofoam because the other it is too soft. Therefore it may break up as a result of a stem needing to move to a new spot.
Now, I begin to place each Narcissus stem forming a natural grouping as seen in nature.
Adding Reindeer Moss to Cover the Foam
Lastly, begin placing the Reindeer moss specifically to cover the foam. The moss also adds a natural element and is green for spring .
By the way, if there is a gap between your foam and vessel add paper towel. Doing this will prevent you from wasting moss and keep the Styrofoam from wobbling.
After I add the moss I secure it around the edge using my finger tips to see the edge of the tureen.
This will make a pretty centerpiece for a spring table and will also be pretty for Easter. Adding eggs also adds another element of interest and a nod to spring.
Adding key lime pie M&M’s is fun and adds more green for spring. By the way, theses M&M’s are dangerously good so be careful if you buy some, they will be gone in a flash.

I think Daffodils may be my favorite flower at least this much needed year for those cheerful yellow blooms. My sweet husband has been bringing me some every day he picks along the road when he walks our 2 dogs. I love having small bouquets in every room. My favorite vase for daffodils is a small blue pottery one I have but they look great in little white pitchers or lime green glasses I use. I have a lot of varieties planted on our property but this first little wild ones are my favorites.

Daffodils are so pretty and they really scream Spring. Love the tureen you used to make your centerpiece too. Our grocery store is selling daffodils for $5 a bunch so it is nice to have them to bring home and put in water. Have a great new week. xoxo

Lovely! Those tiny eggs are darling. I used to bring my mom daffodils every spring. The grocery store had them for $1.99 a bunch. Definitely worth buying a few handfuls for that price!

Daffodils have always been my favorite spring flower. When I first bought our current home I couldn’t believe how many the previous owner had planted! And in so many fun places! I can’t wait for spring! P.S. Your arrangement is SO lovely, and how lucky are you to find that gorgeous tureen!
