Welcome to Cloches & Lavender, my name is Cindy. I’m excited you are here. I have been crafting for 25 years . My passion is creating easy crafts especially making wreaths. I keep the wreaths budget-friendly. The wreaths I create work for two or three seasons a year. I look forward to you learning more about the personal side of the person behind my brand!

Do you enjoy simmer pots? Here’s a secret, if you follow my blog you will receive 7 amazing simmer pot recipes. I love them too and will be sharing more of them. I have a family member that can’t be around candles so I create simmer pot recipes with natural ingredients. Our home is filled with cozy scents especially from fall through winter. Simmer pots are easy to make and the best part everything can found in the grocery store.
This leads me to another favorite tip.
When decorating for different seasons I find the grocery store and our own yard to be our best friend! The options are cozy budget-friendly, and gathering items from the yard FREE especially for the holidays. If you search Clohes & Lavender you will notice I add nature to our home. I share how to preserve acorns, pinecones, sunflowers, and more! I have a collecton of real acorns I preserved that are a decade old, can you believe it? I’m an acorn hoarder, I add to my collction every year.

I’m a born and raised Jersey Girl.
Making our house a home is my passion. Marrying my best friend who also enjoys being my handyman has been the best thing in my life.
We enjoy doing things together. I plan it, he builds it and I make it pretty.
During the summer you can find us watching the NY Mets everyday while working on projects.
I have had MS for 35 years and use a walker. But, I never let it define me. I want to empower others. Don’t let a disability take away from creating. I will share how to create pieces for your home and tackle one DIY at a time.
Cindy has learned my walker is my best friend. I use it to empty the dishwasher, help me carry items to bake and cook. Quiet frankly, it comes in handy especially when John says, babydoll, can you throw a bottle of water in your walker for me? That’s one of his several nickames for me. If he calls me Cindy, I forget he’s speaking to me.
I enjoy creating to much to let MS rule my life. I prep wisely to get things done at my speed.
We adore our boy Reeses. He keeps us on our toes and makes us laugh out loud every day. We are truly blessed.
I also enjoy collecting ironstone, transferware, and thrift store pieces to add to our home.
Adding French touches to our home decor is something I enjoy. But nothing too formal and stuffy I want us to live in our home not treat it like a museum.
We enjoy all four seasons in NJ. However, cooler months are our favorite. We enjoy having fires, cooking comfort food, and baking especially when entertaining family and friends!
Even though the cooler months are my favorite, spring brings Daffodils to our yard.
And summer brings Hydrangeas which is a favorite!
