FAUX LEMON BOXWOOD SUMMER WREATH WITH LEMON LEAF
Equipment Needed:
hot glue gun and glue sticks
faux boxwood wreath
artificial lemons
faux lavender or flowers of your choice
lemon leaves
wire cutters
Step 1: Adding The Lemons
Determine where to position the artificial lemons on the faux boxwood wreath. I added my sunny yellow lemons in groups of three. Odd numbers when making a wreath for home decorating work best.boxwood-wreath

Step 2: GlueOrDrill Holes
If you're using craft or florist wire, carefully drill a small hole on either side of each lemon. The hole should be just wide enough to add the wire. This step allows you to reuse the wreath for future projectsWhen using the hot glue gun carefully add glue to each lemon and place it on the wreath.Tip: If this is hanging on a front door that gets a lot of sun, I recommend using florist wire to attach the lemons to the wreath. The heat from the sun will cause the hot glue to soften and the lemons may fall off. See tips on how to add wire in the next step.first-lemon-addedholding-lemons-to-setthree-lemons-added
Step 3: Insert Florist Wire
Cut pieces of florist wire long enough to wrap around the faux boxwood wreath. Insert one end of the wire through the drilled hole in each lemon, leaving the wire sticking out on the other side. If you prefer using a hot glue gun, skip this step.
Important Tip: If your front door gets a lot of sun, hot glue may not work. The sun will cause the glue to soften and the lemons will fall off. So consider this before putting your summer wreath together.
Step 4: Attach Lemons
Add each lemon with the wire (hot glue) and position it onto the faux boxwood wreath. If using wire, push the end of the into the wreath. Next, add the other end of the wire through the faux boxwood wreath and twist the ends of the wire to attach. Twist the florist wire tightly to secure the lemons. If using hot glue, apply a small amount of glue to the back of each lemon press onto the wreath, and hold for a moment to set.
Step 5: Add Green Leaves or Lemon Leaves
To add to the realistic look of the wreath, incorporate green leaves or lemon leaves. Choose areas on the wreath where you want to add these elements, considering an even distribution.lemon-leafcutting-a-branchadding-hot-glue-to-branch
Step 6: Secure Green Leaves
Using florist wire or a hot glue gun, attach the stems of the leaves to the wreath. If using wire, wrap it around the stems and secure it tightly. If using a hot glue gun, apply a small amount of glue to the stems and press them firmly onto the wreath form. Hold until the glue sets.adding-leaf-to-wreathadjusting-lemon-leaves
Step 7: Faux Lavender Or Faux Flowers
I added artificial materials such as lavender sprigs into my summertime wreath. Lavender adds a simple yet exquisite accent to the wreath. Choose areas on the wreath where you want to add these artificial materials spread evenly.bending-lavender-brancheslavender-being-addedlavender-addedlavender-lemons-leaves-faux-boxwood-wreath
Step 8: Secure The Flowers
Using florist wire or a hot glue gun, attach the stems of the faux lavender sprigs to the wreath form. Follow the same instructions as in step 7.lavender-lemons-leaves-faux-boxwood-wreath
Step 9: Final Adjustments
Step back and assess the wreath's overall look. Adjust the lemons, artificial foliage, and lavender, ensuring a balanced look on your finished farmhouse wreath. Add a decorative burlap bow or hang it from a wreath hanger as I do. Either way, this is a perfect summer wreath to add to your home or front porch!finished-faux-boxwood-lemon-wreath
