Equipment

  • 1 Wilton candy melt optional
  • 1 Wilton decorating dipping tool set optional but I highly recommend it
  • 1 microwave safe bowl optional
  • 1 sheet nonstick aluminum foil
  • 1 Baking Sheet
  • 1 small baking pan
  • 1 spatula
  • 1 medium bowl

Ingredients

  • 1 bag White chocolate candy melts or white chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp. 1 tsp vegetable oil (depending on the amount of chocolate you are melting)
  • 1 bag macadamia nuts

Instructions

  • Step 1: Roast Nuts
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F
  • Add the macadamia nut to a foil lined small baking pan, baking sheet, cookie sheet, or cake pan.
Toast nuts for 10 minutes. After the timer goes off check the nuts to make sure they have browned slightly. Stir them and add them bake to the hot oven and roast for 5 more minutes. You will notice the smell of the toasted nuts and this means they are finished.
  • Tip: Why brown nuts? Roasting nuts before adding them to desserts, salads, or dinner intensifies the flavor of the nut adding more flavor.
  • Step 2: Melting White Chocolate And Scorching
Tip: When melting white chocolate, it can be a bit fussier than melting regular chocolate.
Why? Because white chocolate has a lower melting point. This means white chocolate melts faster than milk or dark chocolate. Never let water come in contact with chocolate. It will seize immediately. You must keep an eye on it to prevent scorching if using a double boiler.
When melting chocolate, I immediately, reach for my Wilton Chocolate Melter for this chocolate-covered macadamia treat.
  • Step 3: Add Sprinkles
Tip: As a result of trial and error I add the coated candy to nonstick foil on a plate or cutting board to set up. Again, works like a charm every time.
Here, add the macadamia nuts to the white chocolate and coat well.
Now pour them on the sheet of nonstick foil and smooth. To add a quick and pretty touch I add some sprinkles. Let them set up.
  • Step 4: Break Into Clusters
Now when I broke this apart this is almost the consistency of a chocolate macadamia candy bar!
Break apart into macadamia nut clusters and enjoy!
