Welcome and Simple Things

Hello everyone, it’s going to feel like fall this weekend with much cooler temperatures and we are thrilled.

I have been inspired by Carol from Art and Sand.  She posts about things that make her happy.  I thought, you know what, I am going to borrow her idea and run with it because the simple things in life are really what matter and truly make me happy.

Enjoy seeing our outside dressed for all along the way.

The first things that makes me happy and always has is the end of the day and I know John is coming home from work and we get to eat dinner together.

John coming in the door and seeing wagging tails and excitement because Daddy is home.

After going out in the morning Peanut and Reeses chase each other around the house like crazy and it makes my heart sing.  It is also fun to see beds, area rugs moving all over.

Note:  John had to take a close-up of the wreath I gave a facelift when he came home.  Safety reasons for me.  What a man!

Fall and Christmas with leaves and family.

Seeing the beauty of mums and pumpkins.

Cooking and baking season go into full swing with glorious smells.

Spending time with family, feeding them food I cook and bake and them loving one after the other.

Watching every Christmas movie , yes, even the very sappy ones.

Knowing February 15th starts Spring training for catchers and pitchers.  This means baseball season is coming soon.

Watching one of my favorite old black and white movies snuggled on the couch with a beautiful fire with a cup of Pumpkin Spice coffee.

Having that same coffee while decorating the house for Christmas.

Peanut talks to me so to speak.  Her sassing me to let me know it is time to eat, mommy you have been away for me to long makes smile everyday.

Reeses, mommy, everywhere you go I go.

Teaching him to give me his foot as a hint I want some loving.  This usually ends with a rolling over for a belly rub.

Talking with my best girl Audrey and getting excited together about the holiday coming closer.

Seeing and speaking to our circle of friends.

John brining something home from the grocery store just because.

Having my dad tell me he loves me every time he sees and speaks to me.  Him sending me an email to tell me he loves me for no reason.

Painting a project, enjoying every moment and forgetting about what time it is.

Listening to music everyday and hearing my favorite song.

I have had the pleasure of being married to a man for 27 years and he has NEVER wavered and we have ALWAYS stuck together.

Having our wonderful home that we both love so much and enjoy spending time making it beautiful.

I guess you can say I am just happy and feel very blessed in SO man ways.

Hope you enjoy some great fall weather where you are this weekend and take time to Enjoy the Simple things.

  6. It sounds like you have a lot of things to be happy about. It’s good to take stock of the that. So often, we only look at what we don’t have. it was nice seeing pics of the front of your house in conjunction with the other houses around yours. It looks like you live in a pretty neighborhood.
