Simple Spring Touches

Hello everyone, I hope you’re all doing well!  Today I am sharing a few spring touches in our foyer.

The topiary I made a few years ago.  I love topiaries but not the price tags attached.  I’m thinking I may make a couple of small version.  John found a few sticks while taking the pups for a walk, they will make nice stems, don’t you think?  I  will be sure to share a tutorial when I get to this project.  I know there tutorials on Pinterest.  When I made mine I did differently, they are very easy.

My cloche is over a plaster ware bust I found while out thrifting sitting on an antique French book, lace looking crown and a French plateau mirror, love the pretty feet..

The topiary adds a nod to spring.  The books I bought years back are very old dating back to the early 1900’s adds some interest.  Completing the Bombay chest off with a small Florentine picture and small bundles of lavender bring in a romantic touch.

The French candleholders are with large moss balls for a touch of nature.  Adding an old finial finishes this space off nicely.

I keep waiting for warmer  temperatures.  The weather continues being fickle in NJ.  Is it warming up where yo live?

Hello, my name is Cindy and welcome to Cloches & Lavender. I enjoy making our house a home with antiques and thrifted finds. Antiques are used as my staples in my dcor to remain on a budget. I will often upcycle pieces with paint to make them new again. I enjoy DIYs

  1. Oh, I really do hope that you post a tutorial. I have some moss here, it’s brown not green, but I still think it’d looks nice. I’ll be on the lookout! Have a wonderful safe weekend.
