Easy Last Minute Christmas Craft

Hello everyone, I can’t believe Christmas is around the corner? Today, I’m sharing an easy last minute Christmas craft.

On our dining room chairs I have always hung small wreaths. Many bloggers and my friends do as well.

After I was ready to hang mine this year, I thought about hanging 3″ Florentine pictures in the center.

This girl loves Florentine and you can read about my love for Florentine in this post.  I also, share a bit of history too.

However, after checking how many pictures I had of the size needed, I came up short. So then, I began putting my thinking cap on to make something.

Let’s Begin Making Our Easy Craft

I have many mason jars in various sizes. I don’t always use the lids especially on certain ones. So I grabbed the flat part of smaller lids.

My husband took them out and spray painted them for me in chalky white.

Next, I printed images I had from Etsy, you can see the images used in this DIY also.

After printing the images, using Mod Podge I added them to the jar tops. I wasn’t especially thrilled with the look. I thought about adding wax but that wasn’t the look I planned.

Then, Rub N Buff popped into my head.  This can be purchased at any craft store but here’s a link to purchase it from Hobby Lobby.  By the way, Antique Gold is the best color.

Rub N Buff would have been easier to apply before the images but in the real world sometimes we don’t see that before the fact.

Next, using a relatively stiff bush, I dipped the tip of my brush and began adding the Rub N Buff carefully. I began around the edge of the image first. Doing this step particularly reminded me of coloring so it’s very quick and easy.

Let dry and hang your easy last minute Christmas craft from your wreath.

What do you think? I’d love to hear in the comments!

These could also be used as ornaments, tags on gifts or they would look great around a napkin on your table. These may be seen for Mother’s Day 2021 in a different set.
