Quick & Simple Garland Wreath Craft

The nights have been getting cooler in NJ and that makes me very happy, besides I’m a cool and colder weather girl, yes some may gasp but I am and as a result, I’m in full fall mode.

If you missed the two DIY’s I have shared for the fall season you may want to visit my fall grapevine citrus wreath and my DIY moss pumpkin.

Quick & Simple Garland Wreath Craft

Who doesn’t enjoy a quick & simple garland wreath once in awhile and when you have all the pieces you need in your stash.

If you missed my post showing updating a fall wreath you may enjoy seeing another quick update I made for some inspirationto update a wreath of your own.

Items Needed

  • 3 leaf garlands of your choice
  • 1 oval grapevine wreathes
  • florist wire
  • scissors

To begin with, lay all your items on your work with your garlands and snip pieces of floral wire making sure they are long enough to hold your garland snug to the wreath.

Next, bend your garland to form a U shape and place on top of the wreath. As you lay your garland down use a piece of florist wire to wrap around your wreath twisting tightly so the garland is secure before moving to the next section. John did the twisting because of motor skill issues.

After you have finished your first garland do the same process with the second. Then step back and fill in any gaps with the third garland.

Length of Extra Pieces

By the way, I only needed to cut my third garland in half to ad fullness and it is ready to hang.

  3. Oh my word – Cindy – I’m going to have to start a Fall wreath board on Pinterest just for all your pretties! These wreaths are all amazing. I’ve never heard of a garland wreath before but I love this one so much. I can’t wait to try it now. You guys totally nailed it! On a side note, your grass looks like carpet. It’s beautiful.
