Updated Kitchen Plaque

Hello sweet friends, today I’m sharing a small upcycle to a piece I’ve had for awhile and love.

The color wasn’t working for me anymore. No problem, dry brushing was my technique of choice.

Using Jolie Antique White I dry brushed the entire piece. Remember what I’ve mentioned in the past, dry brushing requires very little paint and creates great texture applied bits at a time.

The one difference with this piece is after dry brushing I went back and added paint a bit heavier in spots. I wanted to create a different look.

After adding paint I used ASCP clear wax and rubbed it in well. Let it dry and done.

Gives a piece I had an entirely different look for zero money and very little effort.

Have you given anything a new look?
