Hello sweet readers, are you getting ready for spring in your home?
I’m continuing my use of Hydrangeas in our bookcase, dried Hydrangeas and Ironstone are a perfect marriage.
Add a touch of them with other elements and it makes for a soft romantic spring setting.
Using pieces I love and enjoy seeing in our home is the best feeling, don’t you think?
Since my Hydrangeas are a bit dry petals fall easily but that’s fine with me. Their petals are very delicate and beautiful, I used them to add to a stack of dishes with pearls.
I used more fallen petals in my florentine cherub dish which adds a romantic feel, don’t you think?
Books are layered for texture, a piece of lace from my grandmother was added to antique books I have collected. Instead of the lace sitting in a chest I decided to take a few pieces and and make bookmarks. I like the charm it adds.
Beautiful pieces I found seemed to be waiting to come home. The gilding and the monogram “C” on these dishes seemed to be fate.
Adding dried blooms to Ironstone and Red/Pink transferware was a must. Loving this tureen filled with these delicate beauties and the deep pink floral ribbon. The old books, crowns and florentine picture adds romance and French touches I adore.
Don’t miss those pretty butter pats with their floral and delicate gilding found while thrifting for $3
Topping this off is a wired urn filled to the brim with delicate Hydrangeas.
It’s time to celebrate the season of growth and beauty. I hope this inspires you to get ready for spring!
