Good morning friends, today I want to talk spring décor beginning in our homes.
Spring is approaching, adding floral touches to our home seems to be a great place to begin.
In Northern NJ at this time there isn’t many flowers blooming. In some areas Crocus and Daffodils may beginning to show life from our soil but nothing isblooming just yet..
For me, I often go to my dried Hydrangeas I dried from the fall. It adds a touch of nature and the soft colors let us know spring is coming.
I dry an abundance of them in the fall and save them in boxes in our basement to have for spring. I’ll dry new in the fall and retire these.
I keep our coffee table simple. We use it in the evenings for homemade flatbreads, I’m often playing with different recipes. Cheese platters and desserts are placed here too so not having to shuffle to much makes it a snap.
My husband, who is wonderful, came home one day with this large piece from Home Goods. I love the statement it makes filled with my dried Hydrangeas for early spring.
Hydrangeas make me smile and I look forward to them blooming every summer.
Adding a few antique French books I found in pretty shades of pink add another layer of texture with a lace bookmark. Placing a small vintage Italian florentine picture seemed to be a perfect touch and adds a feeling of romance.
Gilded bowls are perfect for when we have an occasional sweet tooth and are pretty touches.
These are some of my simple nods to spring.
Are you beginning to think about bringing spring to your home?
