You know when you’re at the end of one project and begin another? You get excited to see the finished product right?
Well, that was going to happen. I mentioned last time I was finishing painting projects. I thought John and I were going to do the last piece to our foyer that was on hold for a couple years do to life.
Handles still need some addition of color.
We are going to make a French Trumeau. Buying one is out of the question most are big bucks.
I love making these pieces, it’s fun to get creative and put your spin on a piece. Well, that is on hold for a bit so……
Here’s why. A beauty isn’t she?
The store I mentioned finding treasures in NJ in my post HERE, direct messaged me on Instagram. They had to get rid of this piece to make room for incoming finds. John said let’s take a ride and look so we did. It was late afternoon when a haul for their shop comes in so they needed room. It’s a small place.
John inspected it and found one shelf would have to be fixed in some fashion, hence the weights you see. John figured we had nothing to lose so he said a low price and they accepted. They didn’t have room nor did they want to bring it back inside. This is a very heavy well made piece. More information on that next time.
Before you know it she was getting loaded in the car. This piece is perfect to match our home with these French lines and beautiful feet.
Stay tuned, I’m waiting on paint and she will be made beautiful. As far as our current armoire she is on Facebook Marketplace fort a great rice. If you are in the NJ area take a look under furniture.
Blooms, look at these beauties beginning to burst. Very happy face and dancing going on right now. I love our Limelights.
Hope you are having a great week!
Oh Cindy you limelights are beautiful. I love the new piece. What a beauty. Love the sweet legs on it. I cannot wait to see what you do with that. I bet you will sell your other one on FB market place. I had a lot of success with that when we were moving and selling pieces. Have a great Wednesday.
Hugs,
Kris

Thanks Amy I am looking forward to bringing a few inside. I will have tons to dry.💜
Cindy, this is a big project and will certainly be a beauty when you are finished. Your project brings back memories of a amoire I refinished when I first married. Such projects were the norm in my youthful years. Ha! Rarely do I even take on a small painting project in recent years. I admire you!
Thanks for the visit and thoughtful comment on my blog today. Yes, I don’t blog as often as I did. I hope to get back into more frequent posts. Thanks for checking and visiting and for keeping up on IG. I enjoy your posts as well.
Happy August!
Thanks for your kind and supportive words. I haven’t been able to do this for years with my MS. I have a new lease on life due to new biologic and I am not taking one single ability I’ve been given back for granted. I missed it so much.
Enjoy your day

Wow! I’m so incredibly jealous! First a store that has those sorts of pieces local to you and then a place that actually messages you when they have something to get rid of. It’s like a dream! 🙂 I wish…..I can’t wait to see what you do with this piece….I know it’s going to be amazing. On another note – I have got to plant loads and loads of limelights.
It’s a fantastic gem. Have to finish the inside. Have special plans.
Enjoy your week
