Hello everyone, we are just getting finished with the horrible heatwave that many of us have been dealing with the past week. It was as if in NJ we were living on the sun.
Our Hydrangeas in the front finally bloomed for the first time in three years.
Many projects are going on at Cloches and Lavender especially painting pieces and furniture. Painting furniture is my happy place and here is a snippet of what I have been updating.
John was wonderful and lightened up t he walls in our foyer, too dark. This Bombay chest got an update too.
Still in process of finishing. Once I added layers of paint I felt it still needed another tough so stayed tuned for that coming soon.
Found these beauties for a steal at a new and wonderful store I found and spoke about HERE.
Below is another piece that received an update. This is a snippet of the after. Post coming soon.
I mentioned a change coming to the door in the dining room changes HERE.
Unfortunately, that was a fail and I found a solution but with the heatwave it had to wait for this week. Wish me luck on this one,.
I will be sharing these soon and then I start painting another piece of furniture I have been wanting to tackle for quite some time. Thanks new infusion for giving me life back!
Love the red and white transferware! I have a Bombay nightstand that was similar and I painted it white and distressed it.

Sounds like you have bee a busy lady, Cindy. Can’t wait to see what you come up with. I have thought about painting my bombay chest but I am not quite brave enough to do it. lol Plus, it is the only piece my oldest son wants “someday”. Do I hear funeral bells ringing?
We have been hot and humid here, too. It is hard to do anything ‘fun’ outside. xo Diana

Lol, I am trying to get finished. I just purchased a French armoire from a garage sale and now that has to be done. It wasn’t planned but when we saw it and the end of the day they were giving it away. We snagged it for a bargain.

Oh, we are suffering though the same heatwave. It’s terrible. I painted a chair in the middle of it, all the while thinking, what am I doing?? I love your pink flowers. I haven’t seen that color around here. It’s so cheerful!!
