Painting Projects

Bit of Paint & A DIY

Hello everyone.  It’s finally sunny here in Northern NJ.  Every weekend for a month it has rained.

I have been getting small painting projects finished.   It’s time to get the little items off my list and get outdoors and finally plant annuals.

One major reason we were sick of the rain is this.! My honey John is in the process of tackling our deck.

Not a pretty picture below.

Getting started and he is good.

He was doing a happy dance this past weekend because 1/4 of the deck is finished.  Memorial Day weekend he will be finishing this and planting annuals is on the agenda.

By the way, am I the only one saying “How can Memorial Day be here already?  Don’t forget to honor the men and women who sacrificed their lives for our wonderful freedoms and think of their loved ones left behind.

  1. Cindy you are going to love that new decking. We put it in last year and it is maintenance free and I love it. I am with you on how time is flying by. I cannot believe it is Memorial Day already too. Happy Week.

    1. We had in the old house. We didn’t want the added cost when we were building. John said that’s it I’m not doing this every year. So weird we don’t know if it’s just NJ but Trex brand off the shelf at our Lowes is cheaper than Veranda which is Home Depot’s own brand

  2. We are in a rental and I miss our deck even though we have a poured cement patio here but it is not very private. Love your painted pieces, too.
Have a great night. xo Diana

  3. Cindy, I’m so tired of the rain, too. It seems never-ending. We were able to get a little outside planting done this weekend and it felt great…and that plate is lovey framed! Thanks so much for the comment on my site. I’m following along now too, excited to see what you share as well!! 😊
