Where I Have Been

Hello everyone, it has been a VERY long time since I have posted.

Many have seen me on Facebook.  I am sorry I have not been visiting your blogs.

My MS has been our priority.  Many of you may remember me speaking about taking a new drug called Tecfidera.  Long story short that drug did not work for me.

I began getting very bad spasms throughout my torso.  It made  it impossible for me to stand f  more than a 30 seconds.

Imagine, you had a corset and someone kept making it tighter and tighter?  That is the best analogy.

Instead of focusing on the negative let’s move to   the positive.  I’m now on a new drug Ocrevus and I get an infusion every six months at the doctor’s office in NYC.  This new drug is known as “The Game changer”.

GAME CHANGER is correct.  I am getting the ability to do things that I haven’t been able to do in years.  Small and large but for us no matter how small they are all HUGE.

My personality is back to me, chatty, happy and excited more than ever.

I go for my second infusion November 16th and I have never been so excited about getting medicine in my life.

John has his wife back.

To let you see a little of how my life has improved.  This is what I have been up to for the past few months.

This is just some and the beginning.  Have you figure it out yet?

Yes, I am opening an Etsy Shop:

Signs And Pots by Cindy

The pots aren’t completely finished yet and I am working on signs everyday.  I am finishing Christmas tags.

Signs are done in various styles, reverse transferring images and stencils done with plaster to make them raised.  I have been doing the plaster techniques for years.

More are listed in the shop.

While John and I were having a garage sale we were showing some of our signs to get feed back and a nice girl who came knows a gentleman in town.  He owns a shop White Birch Candle.  She has worked with him before.

She spoke to him and I will be speaking to him today about selling signs in his shop.

I am so excited and thrilled to be doing this work.

Love and Hugs to my John, who  has been there through this for 28 years and has never wavered.

  4. Hi Cindy, I left a comment earlier, but don’t see it here, so trying again. It is SO good to see you back here! I’m sorry you had a rough patch but glad to know your Game Changer is working for you! I’m going to tell a friend of mine about it. Maybe it will help him, too. Love all of your signs! Best of luck with the new Etsy shop!

  5. Cindy! I’m so happy you’re doing better with this new drug, I’ve seen television commercials for Tecfidera. I’m sorry it didn’t work for you. It’s all a guessing game, isn’t it? At least now you have something on board that is bringing you some much needed relief. It’s wonderful that you have a supportive and loving husband who makes your journey a little more bearable! Best wishes on your Etsy store! The signs will be a big hit!!!

  6. Oh- I am just so thrilled for you. I had an uncle with MS and that was years ago before they had the treatments available that they have today. He suffered so horribly and I never once heard him complain. He was such a gentle soul and, looking back, I think how much my grandmother must have suffered quietly watching MS take its toll on her youngest son. It sounds like they have found the ‘fix’ for you. How very wonderful.

Good luck with your Etsy shop. Your signs are wonderful. My son is a signmaker also and a small local store took his stuff and sold every sign he supplied them with. The store is closed now so he will have to find a new outlet, I guess, if he continues to do signs. It is a hobby for him- a release from a stressful job.

    God bless, Cindy! xo Diana

    1. Thanks Diana. Things have really come a long way. This new drug even works for people who have the progressive form of MS. I’m happy for them. This is the first drug they have had for help.

  7. Well, knock me over with a feather! I was so surprised you popped up in my inbox this morning, and super pleased. I stopped by your blog now and again and a few weeks ago to say hi, saw you hadn’t been around for awhile and didn’t want to bug you. (I thought you’d decided to stop blogging.) I’m sad for your bad times, but so happy for you that this new drug is having success. And wow, what success, enough to be creating and opening a shop! I think your angel work is just dreamy. Great news, Cindy! Glad to have you back!

    1. Thanks Laurel, it’s great to be back. To be honest I can’t tell everyone how much this drug is changing things for me. It would take up too much room. The outcome has actually been so amazing. I can’t wait to see what my infusion in November brings.

      Thanks again

      Cindy

  10. I’m so glad to see you blogging again! I know all too well what you’ve been going through with your health. I have a disease that I was receiving infusions for and it quit working too. Now, onto something else. Chronic illness gives you a unique perspective on life that people without it have no idea! I hope your new medicine continues to work well for you. I love your new signs. Good luck with your new business!

  11. This new infusion has changed my health in ways I can’t believe. I know how much you suffer to. I hope there’s something else for you. I knew pretty early on the pills were doing nothing. Hang in there. Ever need an ear contact me
