Our Christmas Dining Room

Hey  everyone, it has been a while, I posted about Harvest Day and then disappeared.  Sorry about that, some how things got busy and time slipped by, don’t you hate that? We never figure out how it really happens.  Any how, I will show a few pictures of the day at the end of the post and share recipes another day.

Has everyone been enjoying the Christmas season?  Shopping getting finished?

I am thrilled that I am finished with shopping except for everyone’s puppies in the family.  We can’t forget them, way to important.

Did you notice how the glitter sticks around no matter how many times you clean the hardwood floors?  It stumps me very year.

As you may notice the glitter is an issue for me because I can’t resist the items that are covered in the stuff.

Do you decorate your chandeliers?  I have been wanting to for a few years and this was the year.  Nothing to over the top.  So did I do well?

The list of cookies for baking keeps growing.  I can’t help this, I am addicted to baking cookies at Christmas.

I’m thinking it may be that I had a mom who loved to bake at Christmas too.  She used to make what seemed 1,000 cookies and we couldn’t eat any until Christmas Eve.  Not sure what the reason was, could have been we had many family members over during the Christmas season and she thought we’d run out?

I must admit I caught the no eating the cookies until Christmas thing.  Thank God that spell has been broken a while now.  My poor Hubby and Dad just wanted cookies.

I have wonderful memories of helping my mom bake and learning the things to do and not do She made sure I knew baking is a science, everything has to be warm, exact and fresh.  Not to mention I got to eat raw cookie batter back then.

Is anyone addicted to Hallmark Channel this time of year?  Must admit I am and I am NOT ashamed, I can’t help it I am a sap for Christmas Movies.

How about wrapping?  Do you get it done right away or do you drag your feet?  I drag them until there is no time to drag any longer.  I can’t wrap a lick, right Dad?

I have moved forward from the wrapping thing, gift bags it is for me now.

Hope you enjoyed our dining room for Christmas and I plan to share pictures of the MANY cookies I bake.

A few photos of the table set for Harvest Day.

The table was kept relaxed.  Just a nice setting for a wonderful meal with our family.

Individual Cinnamon butter in the Espresso cups and saucers were added at each place setting along with chocolates.

Enjoy the beginning of your week!

  1. Everything looks beautiful as usual! Glitter is a problem for everyone, I think 🙂 I love the pine cone wreaths you have over your dining room chairs. May I ask where you got them from?
