Hello everyone, this is going to be a hot and humid week. It’s July and that is the norm in NJ.
These Limelight Hydrangea are a new addition we added this spring. John snipped these last night when he came home.
This is our seasonal foyer. I enjoy adding greens with lavender, the combination is a favorite for me.
I am crushing on these new additions to our décor. One of the last pieces of my puzzle was antique mustard pots. I found these beauties on Etsy. Yes, I said beauties. You’ll see the others in a moment.
One of the great things is, I used an Etsy gift card Audrey gave me for my birthday.
Here are the other pots filled with sprigs of lavender and some vintage silver.
Notice the bell on the Bombay Chest? Audrey brought this from England, love it!
Thiks close up shoiws the details.
I have a thing for old doorknobs and bought this a couple years back and like the touch it adds with the books and this tiny crown I found at Ballard many moons ago.
My antique shutter with a boxwood wreath I have hade for a while gives it nice pop.
Is this another beauty or what? Audrey gave this to me for Christmas. It was one of the things on my Christmas list from The Painted Fox. Love that site! Filled with olive branches from Magnolia Market, there goes my green and purple affection, I added more Lavender.
Does Audrey give me the best gifts or what, just saying.
Notice the walking stick in the corner, John’s friend brought that back from Ireland years ago. I think it finishes this corner nicely, what do you think?
The basket on the back of the front door I have been looking for what feels like forever. I have searched since our old home. It has to have been six years or more. I saw this not too long ago on Antique Farmhouse for a great price. I said, you have waited and wanted for this grab it, you know how things sellout with that site, LOL.
This is the exact reason I wanted this basket, my love of lavender.
The piece beside the door, I bought at Home Goods years and years ago. I wanted to make it look gilded, so I used a paint that Home Depot sold at the time and added glaze and raw umber to it to give it an aged look.
I took a shot of our chandelier because I LOVE it and had to share. I painted and glazed the medallion too. Don’t you adore the iron work, that’s what sold me.
I hope you have enjoyed seeing our foyer. Have a super rest of the week!

All beautiful! I have a collection of French mustard crocks that I brought back from a trip to France a few years ago. We visited Dijon and Beaune France. I have mine filled with flowers too. ‘-) I also have one of those baskets, but it is empty. I think I need to go find some lavender. Thanks for the inspiration.
Hello Sarah, I LOVE lavender, hence the name, LOL. Finding your in France must have been awesome. Visiting Dijon must have been fun
