I hope everyone had a great weekend! The Jets won and MOST importantly the Mets moved to the next round and so far have beat the Cubs twice, needless to say we are happy. Hope they keep it up when they continue in Chicago on Tuesday.
This morning was beautiful. I took the pups out and there was a heavy frost. The mums looked pretty covered with frost.
I’m starting our fall tour today. I decided to start in the Dining room. Quite a few changes have taken place with painting projects in t his room. There are many pictures. I repainted the buffet in this room.
From this, WHAT was I thinking when months and months ago???
Many of you said you like this. Now, I don’t know if you were just being kind or what but this was a HUGE mistake. It blended into the walls. Everyday I walked by this piece for around 6 months I got a knot in my stomach looking at it and said I HAVE to redo this piece and SOON!!!
Now go ahead, say it, this is a MASSIVE improvement. Now girls I know you are thinking it and it won’t hurt my feelings. Let me show and tell you what I did.
First the ASCP in Country Gray came on out to take control of the situation. Once this was painted I knew the paint was correct in telling me those was the way to go. 100% BETTER!
Some close-ups before the clear waxing took place.
You will notice I took some blue to the appliques. I just did a light dry brushing to them.
Close up of Duck Egg blue paint I had in a sample. Next dark wax. I used a small stiff craft brush for this step. I only wanted the dark wax in the edges and creases on this piece with coat on the appliques and in the creases of molding and feet.
Look who showed up to be with Momma, Reeses. He is on love bug and loves being near me at all times. Notice his Met charm, that face, I could just chew it, LOL.
Many pictures coming of the dark wax accents.
I really want the appliques to look very old.
Some close-ups of the trim and those pretty round carved feet.
This bowl took a HUGE transformation thanks to some Chalk spray paint. That post coming soon.
Pretty dried Hydrangea with a white pumpkin for fall.
Entire cabinet transformed.
Buffet lamps, wait for this transformation update.
Dried Hydrangea with acorns for fall in my antique door, so PRETTY!
So what do you think, BETTER right!!! More fall in the dining room coming up!
