I have to confess, I am a little addicted to  the show Fixer Upper.  I love Jo Jo’s style and how they take these homes from nothing to fabulous.

When I saw a ladder on her shop Magnolia Market I decided to order one to add to the kitchen.  I can’t wait to receive it.  When it comes I will be sure to show everyone.

I know I’m going to place it in this corner where I keep our three-tiered basket.  I change this seasonally and I thought it would add some warmth to the corner.

Now the basket, I snapped these shots in the late morning and thought it was so pretty with the sun shining on the pieces I used.  This is filled with things I love and make me happy for spring.  Touches of lavender of course, and a couple of lavender balls from Michael’s.  I placed a faux grass bunny I have had since before we moved. I don’t decorate for Easter so to speak, I’m more of a spring decorator.

I added some nests to the top basket and placed some eggs along with a tin heart that I purchased from Rosemary at Villabarnes. I also used a bird finial and peat pots I made this year with a French decopauge image.  I added some trim to make it more finished and filled them with green moss.

I also added a small boxwood wreath that I had on hand and some French accents with the addition of a transferware pitcher from Nancy’s Daily Dish.  I’m hoping to add more to my collection this year.  I have given lists of items I would love to add in red and black to family and Audrey.  Maybe a birthday present will be coming in April??

I hope everyone had a super weekend.  We had friends over yesterday for Panini’s, they were very good.  It’s still cool here but at the least the sun finally appeared yesterday but we are back to clouds!
