Hi all, I hope everyone is doing well, I have been out of the loop for a couple of weeks due to Hurricane Sandy. We lost our power, water and heat for over a week and my internet was down for two weeks. In the grand scheme of things based on what happened to our New Jersey shoreline we are very lucky and blessed.
While the power and internet were down, I started some of my Christmas crafting projects (during the day lol) so they will be ready come decorating time.
The first project involved these wooden plaques from Michael’s. They look like ornaments, which I love, and thought, why not do the Mod Podge Transfer method on them using images from the Graphics Fairy for Christmas!
I painted them using a light coat of Gesso and dabbed on a watered (from one of the buckets we had) down medium grey paint to give them an aged look.
I then selected my images (I tried color this time too), from those I had printed before the storm, and used the Mod Podge method. I had new Christmas stencils and used the Gesso paint a little heavier to just add the image softly.
I intend to add some nice ribbon so I can hang them in various spots, like ornaments.
I am very pleased with how this project turned out and I hope you enjoy the images.

Those are SO beautiful! Nice work. And I love your lavender header. sigh. Would love to visit the fields of lavender in England or France when they’re in full bloom! Thanks for stopping in at Cranberry Morning. You’d love the pomegranate orange scones. I had to put them in the freezer to keep myself away from them! lol

I feel for you! We were without power for over a week a few years ago due to an ice storm and it was harder to manage than I thought it would be.
