Thursday already!  Looking forward to the weekend.

There is no way you can’t decorate the dining room for fall and harvest time.  I took two of my French pots I made, from pots in the garage and decked them out for the room.  The larger piece I put a variety of straw pieces in, since I love how the one in the great room turned out.  I added a table topper I purchased from a craft fair a year ago (this table also has two pumpkins I purchased from my local food market). 

The smaller pot I decided to make a craft project.  Using Spanish moss on the bottom of the base pumpkin (from Michael’s) and putting some in the middle and stacking faux white pumpkins (I just laid this in my pot because I want to be able to use it other times of year). 

My Mercury glass jar I filled with gold pumpkins and leaves.  I love the elegance of this piece.

On one of the buffets I decided to put a Mercury glass pumpkin in greenish/silver from Home Goods with a table topper I purchased from a craft fair last year.

Our dining room table has tablecloths that I folded and draped across the table.  I always use this technique with tablecloths so everyone can see the beautiful wood underneath.  It gives me good coverage and when there are more people here, I use matching cloth napkins as placemats.

I put Gold covered pears that I received as a gift a few years ago underneath one of my several cloches. I also have a Mercury glass pumpkin I purchased from Pottery Barn a few years ago and surrounded that with leaves.  It adds some warmth and color.  The two sparkling pumpkins are a Home Goods find.
