Got the kitchen put together yesterday with some Fall items.
I tried to make the table warm and welcoming (but relatively open, since I use it everyday) along with the rest of the kitchen; especially since the kitchen is the heart of a home. The centerpiece bowl is usually out most of the year and I fill it with various seasonal items, or sometimes just with a nice fabric. For the Fall, I used garland that I splurged on from Pottery Barn and a pumpkin I purchased from Michael’s. Underneath the bowl is a leave table topper. I love the color and it adds a really festive feel to the table. The jars on either side get filled with different seasonal items, this year I’m using artichokes, acorns and pomegranates.
The apothecary jar, I have near the sink area, along with an acorn candy holder and a decorative glass acorn. The two acorn items were special gifts and I enjoy keeping them nearby. Of course, we fill them with candy. I love them both as they are from very special people.
Some may remember the bird house cloche; in the summertime I filled it with lemons. So for the fall, I figured I would use pears, place it on a Fall charger and put some oranges around base to add more color. (I eat them all the time). The maple leaf bowl contains glass pumpkins and acorns in fall colors.
I have many pumpkins throughout the house, the ones in the kitchen I got for a steal at our local food market believe or not. I love the details. The ones on the kitchen island, have a sugared effect, those I purchased at Home Goods. The leaf bowl I found in a small shop by my home. Finally, I found a cute hanging glass pumpkin at the garden center, this one I hung from a cabinet knob.
I hope you enjoyed looking at these festive Fall items.
