I hope everyone is well. There has been a nip in the air at night here in New Jersey. I am getting in the mood for the Fall more and more.
It is making me think of the smells of Fall, cooking those comfort foods, baking and mums.
I decided to take the plunge, so to speak, and decorate our mantel in the great room for the Fall, this past weekend.
The main items I just recently found, sit above the fireplace (these will remain here). The deal was just too good to pass up (I am talking a big bargain $50 each). I thought they would look great and I was right. I love the way they make the whole room feel.
Once I had the two pieces in place, I filled the mantel with garland, leaves and white pumpkins from Michael’s.
I thought a bow in the middle that I also purchased at Michael’s would be appropriate to finish off the look.
The hearth as you can see from the pictures is holding my French pot with various pieces of straw and my French flower bucket is filled with colorful punks.
I recently added these wreaths to the pieces over the mantel for some added flair.
The picture that used to be over the fireplace found a home over our television.
I’ll probably get more items in place around the house this week, get the front outside entry done and be in the Fall mode by the weekend!
