There is nothing like enjoying an early afternoon tea with your closest friend.
I chose two teacups from my collection, they were my grandmothers. They were then given to my mom and now I have the privilege of taking care of them after my mom left them to me.
Today, I thought my girlfriend Audrey and I would have tea along with some Italian wafers and Belgian chocolate covered raspberry filled biscuits. I decided we would relax and have it in the living room.
This is one of my favorite rooms in our home and since John and I built an old-fashioned center hall colonial, we have the benefit of having the “formal” living room on the opposite side of the entry. It is formal to a degree, without being stuffy and one can still relax, whether with a nice fire in the fall and winter or for tea in the summer.
I love every room in our home, but this room has a lot of my favorite accessories. I have some cloches in here; one of my favorite cloches is on our coffee table where we are going to have tea. I love mercury glass and that is on this table as well.
I hope you enjoy these pictures as we enjoy our time relaxing and gabbing with our cups of tea.
