Today is about tea day and I thought I would write about this English teacup. It is very special to me because it was my grandmothers. I know she purchased it in Europe when she and my grandfather made a trip over there many, many years ago.
I like to enjoy some tea while sitting at our writing desk in our living room where I have a Provence picture book and spend time just looking at the pictures (no computer in there!). I never tire of this book, there are such lovely pictures inside and small articles.
I hope you enjoy the pictures of the cup as much as I enjoy having my tea out of it. I love using it as it reminds me of my Grandma and I enjoy my quiet time at the writing desk that I made a while back.
I am hopeful this will make you take some time for yourself and enjoy something as simple as a cup of tea or iced tea, etc. to slow down the pace for even for just a minute; it is good for the soul.

Gorgeous post! We do need to take time to relax and to refresh ourselves. Your writing desk is lovely as is your Grandmother’s teacup – what a sweet treasure. I have a picture book of Provence and love dreaming as I flip through its pages. I appreciate you sharing with A Return to Loveliness,

Thank you very much. I made that desk years ago now, out of leftover moldings and plywood. I get more compliments from people about that desk when people are here. If you look at older posts the desk is on cloches and lavender.
