Hello every one hope all is well!

The frame that is over this dresser with toile inside used to have a mirror in it and it was mounted with brackets to the dresser. I decided to take the mirror out since I didn’t use it that often and I primed and painted the frame with our bedroom wall color (Benjamin Moore Toasted Almond) and then distressed it by hitting it with a hammer and screwdriver.

I then did a process of aging the frame using several colors I thought would work well with the room, I used a metallic paint here and there, green paint a bit and then I rubbed raw umber mixed with glaze on the entire frame.

I then decided to put toile inside the frame that I wrapped over a thin piece of plywood that John stapled to the back and reinserted it into the frame.  After the project was done I thought that the toile looked to new so I dry brushed it with some raw umber and burnt umber paint to give the fabric and aged worn look.

Mercury Glass and Accent Bowl

In front of the frame you will notice two Mercury Glass jars that I purchased from Ballard (on sale) and a decorative bowl and iron holder I purchased from Willow House a bit ago and the decorative balls in the bowl are from Lamps Plus.  I love these decorative balls they are ornate and I love the way this vignette plays off the toile in the frame.
