A few years ago, I stumbled upon this item while online, and I thought it would make for a good creative project.  This piece is made of Fypon (It is a sturdy Styrofoam) and it comes in plain white.

First, I painted it the color of my walls in the kitchen (Blonde eggshell by Benjamin Moore) and then used my raw umber glaze to give it an aged look as if it is a piece of stone ruin.

Since it is like Styrofoam I decided to make some marks in the piece, chip a few edges and cut a line in the urn to make it look as though it was cracked.

I thought that would add some character.  After the project was finished we hung it over our kitchen window.
