I hope everyone had a great New Year and is doing well!
I am playing catch-up this year from Christmas. It was a very busy holiday season in our home this year and with my MS it has been a little slow getting our stuff down. I am so tired of looking at it all and the dust is unreal.
From doing too much during Christmas and New Year’s, I have been very run down and my MS has been acting up a bit. You would think I would learn, I go through this every year because I try to make my life as normal as possible.
The Christmas items are almost done and then I have to get moving on some posting. I have to get better at getting organized during the Christmas season so I don’t got through this anymore.
Take your time. Your health is the most important thing. It will all get done eventually.
Hugs,
Laura
Laura,
Thank you so much.

Hi Cynthia,
I hope you start to feel better. I think the holidays take a lot out of all of us. I still have my tree and decorations up. Maybe I can do a little each night after work and get everything put away over the weekend. Just take things slow my friend.
Donna,
Thank you so much, you are so kind.
Cynthia
Hi Cynthia:
I totally agree with the ladies above. Your health is the most important. If your not AT your best you can’t GIVE your best. After being in a marriage where I did it all from kids, to horse farm, to foster kids even to the point of taking out the trash. I finally learned after leaving that marriage to listen to my body. Now if I’m tired I go back to bed once the kids are off to school and don’t feel guilty at all about it~
God bless you girl your an inspiration to us all. My prayers to you!

Sandi,
Thank you so much for taking me into your heart.
Cynthia
Cindy, honestly I just turned 60 in December and it’s taken me this long to really learn that WE DESERVE the best. And when I find someone like you who does such beautiful work with your job (the blog) while dealing with such a huge challenge you make me feel like I have no excuse to to go for the brass ring and MAKE it happen. Rest, love and create I always look forward to your posts.
Sandi
Sandi,
Thank you so much for your encouraging words. It makes me feel so good inside. You are a treasure.
Cynthia
One day at a time. We will all be here when you get a chance to post again. To mirror the others, you have to do things in the best time frame for you and your health. Sending positive thoughts and hugs!
Kenley
Kenley,

Cynthia
Always!!
I hope you feel better soon! Yes, do take care. Christmas can be a marathon no matter what you do. Take all the time you need!
Thank you do much!!
Cynthia
Take care of YOU!
Thanks.
Cynthia
Honestly….I don’t think we EVER learn! I feel for you. From what I have seen and understand, that ol’ MS is a monster. I do hope you can get some rest and get things back under control soon. Big hug!!!
Alycia,
Thank you so much!! I am a fighter.
Cynthia
Yuck. Cleaning up after Christmas is the worst! Good luck!
Stacy
Thanks
pace yourself, and i hope you feel better soon:) my house is a mess!
That makes me feel better. I feel like I am the only one with Christmas boxes all over the place. I started exercising since the holidays and that may make me feel better shortly, I hope….
I know how anxious we all get to put away the Christmas decorations, clean up, and get back to normal, but if it gets done this week or next, it doesn’t REALLY matter. Try to limit yourself to just a little at a time or you suffer physically for it for weeks.
Well, don’t knock yourself out putting it all away and trying to get back to normal, Cynthia! Who cares if you’ve still got it out. Take your time, do a little bit every day and make sure you rest. I’ve put my stuff away, but I can’t find stuff I put away to make room for Christmas stuff. : ) I’ve got blank spaces here and there because of it and also because I’m trying to use what I’ve got to decorate. I’ve still got my outside decor up {thankfully, not a lot there}, but I’m actually thinking of leaving my front door swag and mittens up. It says Winter to me, so that will save me from feeling like I have to buy a wreath for Valentine’s Day.
Thank you very much!!
Cynthia
You are far from the only one with boxes still hanging around, this is actually the earliest I think I’ve ever put mine away. To tell the truth, I really did get much of it out this year…so I think I was ready to put what there was away, because it was a reminder of what I didn’t get done…My prayers for you and your health, trying to “live like normal” is hard to do when you have a chronic illness. If it was only as easy as, trying…Wishing you the best in the new year.
Lorrie
Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement.
Cynthia
Oh I am amazed at all you do. Take it easy, your health is what really matters. God Bless. Hugs, Marty
Thank you Marty. Very sweet of you.
Cynthia
Feel better Cynthia…rest up and we shall be here when your return….!!
Thanks, I have been getting rest and most of all exercise which is good for my MS and we are seeing a big difference.
Take care of yourself first, Cynthia. The Christmas decorations and dust bunnies will wait. I’m just finishing up my stuff too – between a horrid flu that got me over the holidays and now my mother in the hospital two hours away, it’s just going to wait a bit longer.
I am sorry to hear about your mother, I hope whe will be ok. Two hours is a hike.
Cynthia
Bless your heart!! All the decorations are down at my house…but if it makes you feel better ~ there’s still a LOT of dust that needs to be tackled…oh yea, and all the boxes need to be put away…they are all still sitting there looking me in the face ~ lol!! Just take your time and it will get done
our favorite saying at the store is “it is what it is!” Isn’t that the truth!!
That saying is true. I am almost done and that is making me feel better.
Cynthia
That sounds like a very hard thing to live with
I’m thinking of you and hoping you feel better soon
Stacy
I have been living with this for 20 some years, I got diagnosed very young (26) and I drag my right leg but I try to always looks at the positive. I could not be walking at all. Thanks for your support.
Cynthia
So sorry to hear about your health problem. I didn’t know you had MS. I have a chronic inflammatory condition that I see a doctor for and it does flare up when I’m stressed too. I guess it is the nature of the illness. I would listen to your body and remember that your health comes first. Everything else can wait!
Kelly,
I am sorry to hear about your health too. You are the third person that told me about this illness, I am less stressed now. I have been back to exercising and that really helps me physically and mentally. I also have a wonderful husband who has been helping me. He is fantastic. Thanks so much for kind words. You take of you too.
I hope your feeling better Cynthia. Did you know you could have low levels of Vitamin D? It’s an easy test to take and one that could help you feel better.
Hugs,
Dee
I take 2,500 milligrams of Vitaming D for my MS, orders from the doctor. I have had this for 20 years and my first neurologist never told me to take it but the one I go to now, is just a doctor for MS and he said I should have been on Vitamin D all along. He does it with all his patients.
Thank you very much!.
I sure hope you are feeling better. Please keep resting and take care of yourself. That’s the most important thing…Ann
Ann,
Thanks so much, I am startingv to feel better.
Cynthia
Cynthia, reading the above comment it’s nice to hear that you are feeling a little better. Like everyone said before, your heath comes first! Don’t worry about a little leftover Christmas cheer still hanging around the house…as I write this, I can see remnants of Halloween/Thanksgiving as well as Christmas still lurking about. Hope you have a restful day!
Thank you so very much for your encoragement. It makes me feel better.
Cynthia
Cleaning up after Christmas is a long drawn out process for me. I finally got everything all packed up & put away this past weekend. I do parts of it in small sessions. I sure hope you get to feeling better soon. It’s hard to feel decent during the drab months of winter anyway.
I know sometimes seeing what needs to be done is overwhelming! Just take it slow and steady and take care of yourself!! Blessings, Tammy
Tammy,
Thank you so much!
Make sure you get plenty of rest! Getting better is the most important thing!
blessings,
kairanne
Thank you Kairanne, I am feeling stronger and stronger everyday.
Hi, Cynthia! I know what you mean! I don’t have your health concerns but it still seems to be taking a long time for things to get back to normal after the holidays. I pray you’re feeling strong and ready to tackle whatever you feel like doing this year! Blessings!
